Whitney BioDesign is a multidisciplinary practice focused on how environment shapes the human nervous system. Through sound, vibration, light, and spatial design, the work explores ways to support relaxation, clarity, and long-term well-being.
Vibroacoustic Experiences
Immersive sessions where sound is both heard and felt through the body. Designed to support relaxation, nervous system regulation, and internal balance.
Healthy Home Consulting
Practical, biology-informed guidance to improve the spaces you live in. Includes lighting, EMF awareness, sleep environments, and environmental quality. This work draws from building biology-informed principles.
Vibroacoustic Systems & Development
Custom-built vibroacoustic tables and tools designed to explore the relationship between sound, vibration, and the body. This is an ongoing area of design, testing, and refinement.
Biological Lighting & Atmosphere Design
Custom lighting installations designed to shape both atmosphere and physiology.
Includes:
• Chandeliers and sculptural lighting
• LED systems with custom diffusion
• Laser-cut illuminated panels
• Ambient lighting for homes, studios, and events
Each piece is designed not just for how it looks—but how it feels.
The Origin
After years working as a paramedic, I was exposed to a wide range of people, environments, and conditions—often in moments of high stress and instability.
Over time, I began to notice something deeper: health isn’t only shaped by moments of crisis, but by the environments people live in every day.
Through that work, I developed a growing sensitivity to environmental factors—things like air quality, mold, electromagnetic exposure, and the effects of light on circadian rhythm. I started to see how these invisible layers were quietly shaping how people felt, slept, and functioned.
That awareness led me into a deeper exploration of sound, vibration, light, and environmental health.
Today, this work sits at the intersection of those elements—supporting the nervous system through both environment and experience.
Vibroacoustic work became a natural extension of that path: a way to help people not just understand their environment, but feel a shift in their body.
Looking ahead, my long-term vision is to create a dedicated healing space where these elements come together—vibroacoustic systems, light-based therapies, contrast therapy, PEMF, and guided experiences designed to help people slow down, reset, and reconnect with themselves.
For now, this is where it begins.
About Whit
My journey began in the back of an ambulance. After years serving as a paramedic, I realized that health is shaped by our daily surroundings long before a crisis occurs. This shift from reactive care to environmental design was fueled by a fascination with how sound, vibration, and light influence nervous system regulation. Today, I operate at the intersection of design and sensory well-being as a hands-on builder and student of space. My work is a continuous exploration of restorative environments, grounded in personal observation rather than claiming final expertise. I am currently expanding my training in vibroacoustic practice and healthy home assessment, moving with curiosity toward creating spaces that support deep and lasting calm.
